Smile 2nd place. :)

I won second place again this weekend at the WSCC Solo2 autocross.

I got beat out by a street-modified 2001 Vobra. That was a mean machine that guy had out there.

Dan, where was this. And you better not tell at the Meadowlands!!!! As I was getting off the turnpike, last week, I saw a black Lightning in the lot. There where orange cones laid out like a course of some kind, with a volvo/sabb or something lining up like he/she was ready to take a lap. Was that U ?

Thumbs up

Congrates Daniel. Im sure that lots of people at those auto X events you go to are shocked at just how well a pickup truck can handle the course. I never got into the auto X stuff im more into the drag racing. But congrates Dan keep it up and show them that our trucks can do mroe then the 1/4 in 12 seconds and less.

Nice job Dan!!!

I was going to participate this time but a late Saturday night prevented that. Hopefully I'll be there for the Oct 21 auto X.

I spent the rest of Sunday afternoon prepping the L for the Pocono's track event Oct 14. If anybody plans to participate...you should get there by 7:30am.

Bruce...that was me at the Meadowlands. A friend of mine told me about that auto X. It was his first time X'ing there. I think most of the fast guys ran the course around 61 sec. My buddy did the course in 69 seconds with his Rx-7. This course was a lot bigger/faster but the lot was not as smooth as the one in the Palisades.

Dan, what was your fastest time yesterday? This will give me something to shoot for when I run that course

Sprio :: Definately, heheh, this is my third one now. :)

Gator :: As Andy said, wasn't me. :) This one was in West Nyack, NY at the Palisades Park mall.

99SVTBolt :: Andy -- What kind of preperation are you making for the PDA event this weekend? I was still thinking of going, but seeing as I still havn't bought anything new for the truck *cough*tires*cough* I was wondering if I should pass.

My best time was a 40.6 (non-indexed), the FTD non-indexed was a 34.7. The only problem with trying to compare to "last times run" is it is a new track layout every meet, so the times are always different. There were 163 cars running this weekend, so we only got 3 officially indexed runs in, then 3 "fun runs" at the end. I had never seen so many people there...

I always get told by everyone that they really enjoy watching me whip the truck around the track because its so different to watch then the cars. :) One of the Subaru guys said:

Hey pawn, much respect! I didn't expect that Lightning to haul that much *** and do as well as you did!
So its always a blast. :) Plus, everyone loves my burnouts. ;) Thanks for the congrats. :)

Heheheh...

Daniel

Love that mpeg. Just sent it to my friends and they love it too :-)

163 cars!!! That lot must have been packed. They change the course every meet? That definitely keeps things interesting.

Preparations for the PDA event...basically the brake, oil, coolant, and tranny fluids were changed. Checking over everything.

Last time I went to the PDA event I ran the L completly stock except for a Airaid. As long as your tires are not bald you can run. This time I'll have the Hotchkis sway bars and Bilsteins to play with.

You should also bring plenty of water and food with you. You don't want to get tired while out there. Long sleeves and pants are a must while on the track.

Andy

I see the crowd went nuts when you smoked them at the end

Cool. I'll have to see if I can get a pit-stop at my mechanic this week then.

Yeah, my truck seems to be a crowd pleaser at the event.. Makes it even more fun to goto..

Big congrats Daniel

I think it's time you gave me a call for an Auto-cross chip. Let's get those lap times down even more .
