Thumbs up New Blower Coming Soon

Hey all, Sal here. The new blower kit I mentioned previously is about 2 months away from retail release. All the parts are being made right now, and a large amount of R&D has gone into them over the past few months. This blower uses a rear inlet Eaton based M112. This blower is a true 112 inches, as opposed to the stock Lightning M122 which is only about 91 inches (more like an M90). This is going to be a complete kit, and so far from what I've been told it will come with the blower, the adapter to fit either the 99-00 or 01 bolt pattern, a new custom upper intake, a new oval bore TB, new hard coolant lines to replace the stock intercooler lines (to clear the intake), a selection of quick change upper pulleys, all other misc. parts, and an instruction guide, on both paper and CD. Power increases should be approximately 50 rwhp with stock (8lb) boost. This new blower also makes a ton more power at high boost (15+) than the stock Eaton does. We will be testing one of the first kits on our 01 test truck, so I should have a full review with dyno, track and tuning data available before they ship for those interested. So far initial pricing should be about $3500. Remember, this is a blower kit, not just a replacement head unit.

This kit is for real. It will happen, delivery dates for the first bunch have been confirmed. Since all the tooling and R&D money has been layed by this company, it would be helpfull to them and my self, if we could get a few pre-orders. I know I have a few customers who want to pre-order, so if anyone else would like to, please e-mail me for more details at powersurgeperf@aol.com. This will help ensure those involved will get the first bunch made.

Thumbs up

Wow 50rwhp! So if I get this kit (and I'm assuming a chip reburn to say the least) I can drive around in a 430rwhp truck?

Do you have any concerns about the motor holding up to the added power? I know that folks running nitrous are getting that hp and more, but it's usually just at the track, and not running on the streets every day.

$3500 for 50hp I think I would just go with a 50 shot for $500. Is there any other benefit of running this blower? How many pounds of boost can this set up make with smaller pullies or even a lower pulley? Sure izi mucho lotta mula!!!

I'm pretty sure he said 50 extra hp at 8lbs. boost. More as boost is increased.

Good point, Caka.We already have a good blower. A few enchancements and you can go low 12's ...even elevens. These are street machines. You can go full tilt and prepare a street strip Lightning with these new blowers, but then traction, reliability and drive train parts take their toll.I'm with you ..a good chip n filter, lower pulley, throttle body , shift kit and a 75-100 shot and you'll beat most anything on the street, stay under $2000, and still have a reliable truck as well as having the option of selling the No2 down the road if need be.I do admit, though its great to have these choices!!!

I wonder what kind of hp were talking with both an upper and 4# lower. I'm not sure how much more power we are making now with the addition of 2 pullies, but with the new blower it has to be 100hp or more. If we are pushing 425rwhp now, I wonder if it will be like 500rwhp. That would be about 550hp at the motor and close to 600lbs of torque. Easy 11's if the motor will hold up.

Well it looks like the cat is out of the bag now. For over a year now I have know and been on the fringe of this new blower application. I have been asked to develop a single oval bore throttle body for this application and I will. What I can say right now is that it will match the flow demands that this supercharger can generate.

When you get the new single oval bore throttle body for the new blower ready, I'm not sure if many of us will be able to afford the cost and/or want to spend the money for one.

We'll probably wait for someone to come out with one a little cheaper and same quality...

To DL-

FYI concerning your post here and before about the BAbolt T.B.
DL - Your post is misleading. Since JDM is not a supporting vendor that is all Dave can say.

I wouldn't normally post information like this on this forum, but it is the second time you've made this statement, and I didn't think it was right to let the incorrect information stand.

Dave@JDM
