Maybe i should elaborate. The only time she comes out to play is on TUES and THURS. Very good street racing days. I will have to say that last thursday it did rain and i was driving at like 25mph on the highway(Palmetto Exp.)

that pic is way old, i run the skinnies up front now,

as far as crazy running that pressure, the goal is to hook off the line, once they are heated, they are about 12 psi. considering i cut low

my main point was the sidewall difference, obviously, if you could get a 16" with a 30" tire, that would hook very well also, because you would have 1 more inch of sidewall vs a 15" 28, it's all relative.

That is what I SAID. I said that rim size does not matter. Anyways try running your tire pressure up a little and i would say the car will stabilize a little. What size tire are you running anyway, and does it rub at all in the top end. I had a 28 x 10.5 x 15 on my outlaw car that started rubbing at around 153mph. The car got extremely loose at that point. Had to cut some metal. You should not have a loose feeling at all unless something is wrong with the suspension.

So the cops don't mess with you?

i never ran et streets much,

to be honest, lol, when you drive a 700 hp car on the street, cops that do pull you over only want to see under the hood

What top end wobble?
I must be lucky as I have run 12.8 at 108.9 in my L with the
26x11.5x16 E/T streets with 12 to 13 psi and have felt no
wobble or instability.

I'll have to agree with RACJAS330 on the tire issue. Radials up front and bias ply's in the rear will track differently. Also, suspension tune has everything to do with a cars stability. MY comp car goes almost 180 through the lights on 32x15x14 Goodyear Eagle's w/ 5lbs of air and rides like a caddy up top. The susp. setup is dead on, and the tires are race only bias ply's all around.

There are a lot more factors to a vehicle's stability than just air pressure

Several in the past have indicated wobble on narrow 7-8 rims on the 1/4 mile. I have never said anything because I run the 1/8 mile; however for the last two Wednesdays, I've run on the 1/4 with the 8" rims and no tubes and there is no wobble at all and they are fine at 1/4 mile speeds.

o.k. Guys,What are the advantages of running with tubes versus without?Everybody has their own preference, wondering if there is any fact supporting either camp? Also is a 16x 8" wheel wide enough for a 26" x 11.5" tire?I'm sure the wider wheel might give a broader "footprint",but would it hook substancially better?Thx in advance for any help!-Dave.
