I started my 01 L up this morning and noticed the tranny (at least I think it is) whining like one of the whistles that you buy from the gumball machine. The higher the RPM, the higher frequency of the whine. It only happens in park and neutral, though. I can't see anything loose and all my fluids look normal. I couldn't wait so I took it by the the dealer and the tech said it should be ok to drive over the weekend. Any ideas?

Thanks - even if no one knows, all the information I've learned here rocks. I think I spend more time here and on nloc.org than I do watching TV. Anyone want to buy a 7 year old 21" Toshiba with a vertical sync. problem?
