Finally ran the 1/8th, Plz give tell me how I did!!!

Well I finally made to the 1/8th of a mile track here in Albany, GA last night and man did I have fun!!! Boy I wish I had more money for mods. I was hoping someone could tell me how my truck is running and how my driving was based on my times.....

I have two mods on my L. A K&N cold intake kit and Factory_Tech shift kit.

Here is my best time....

2.088 60ft
8.947 1/8 mile ET
80.10 MPH

How are those numbers?

Thanks, B

Thumbs up

Pretty good time. You need to get on the throttle a little bit sooner, but the truck is running pretty good.Last time i ran,I pulled off an 8.7 and our track sucks bad.Your 60' is pretty good for F1s.

It was really hard to get a feel for what the traction was like. I was running 28lbs in the F1's based upon some info I searched out here. The biggest problem was it was a test and tune night and everytime I pulled to the light I was lined up with some beast who didn't have mufflers so I couldn't hear anything going on with my truck. I did get to where I could tell when I ran an 8 though because the truck would just shift to 3rd at the finish.

Try running with full air in rears,Mine does better probably due to sorry track. Also run without a passenger(riders will take off 1-2 tenths, depending on their beer belly).Ease down on the hammer on the second yellow.Stage as shallow as you can,to avoid a foul, since you can't stomp on it.Down here, the track gives less traction as the dew settles.Try to run while the sun is still up or just after it sets. Also go on Import night when all the ricers go,you won't run any better, but you look like a rocket.

Those times look about right for your mods. A stock 99/00L will turn a 9.1 or a 9.2 in the 1/8. If you could get your 60's down, that will help alot too.
