I'm a lucky man..........
Everyone,
This past saturday was a tricky day for me.........Bettina, my wife, was signed up to race at Hagerstown for the first time ever. She was racing her 01 Mustang GT auto.
You ask what was tricky?? She was telling me that if she liked it, she would participate in more events and be more open to mods on her car. If she didn't like it....well....lets just say that there would be no more mods on the mustang. And her feelings about me racing would change a bit......
She was very worried about the "How do I know when to go??" "When should I stop??" "What if the guy next to me breaks down??" type of things. Alot of first timer questions.
To make a long story short, she made 8 or 9 passes at Hagerstown on saturday. Best was 14.14 @ 98MPH. That is withing 2 tenths of what I could get it to do on a different day. Her 60 was the thing holding her back from a high 13....
I would venture to say that at another track, she will hit high 13's...
She was all happy, waving her timeslips, BS'ing with everyone.
So she is going to sign up for the SSOTN fall nats and run again....
I refrained from running her in the L....until the last run of the day....I will post video later tonight........
She was all excited......"Can I get a torque converter??" "Do I need a driveshaft loop??". All I answered was.....YES!! What about a supercharger...
