Question line converters behind factory radio

Will my 2 line converters fit behind my dash, or will I have to hook them up next to the amp? I would rather hook them up behind the radio, then run speaker wire all the way to my amp. My RCA cables are much higher quality than my other wires. Any info on the topic would be greatly appreciated, the system is going in this week. Thanks
-Glenn

Should fit...

I installed my amp using a line level converter and left it sitting on top of the factory HU. Have yet to splice into the speaker wires because I am not sure what ones to splice into (colors/location in plug). Any one know? When I am done, I will use double sided sticky tape to secure right to the HU chasis.

How did you hook up the line converter if you have not yet spliced into the speaker wires. Is your system actually working yet, or are you waiting on that info?

Almost complete

Every thing, amp, sub, wires, etc. are in and hooked up and RCA cables are run to LLC behind HU but I have yet to splice into the speakers wires because I don't want to until I am sure which colors wires to use for right + & - and left + & -. So, the system is not complete and running yet.

When I say speaker wires, I mean speaker level (high level) outputs.

The easiest way for you to tell is to check out the speaker wires in the door speaker's.

You know guys an aftermarket Head unti would sound so much better then the stock one and then you wouldn't need a line level converter too! Just a suggestion.

The main point around this install is to look as stock as possible. My L gets way too much attention as it is.

Same here....

I want the stock HU because it controls the factory 6cd changer and has the tape deck with ability to scan. I know the Kenwood CD I want would sound way better and be easier to install but have to wait for a while. Why eliminate a decent stock setup? I may have to get an aftermarket HU if my sub gives the changer problems .

RTKilla, I looked at the right front speaker for the colors and was unable to find a match of colors at the plug...this threw me for a loop and decided to make a few post before tearing apart my interior.
