does anyone know if they make an HID bulb for the fog lights? i just ordered the hid bulbs for the headlights (mrtaillight.com) and think it would look pretty nice to get the matching fog light bulbs. if anyone can help it would be great.

Just to let you know they dont sell the REAL HID bulbs. Those are HID appereance bulbs. Big difference! Specially since I just put in my HID system.. Compaired to my HID appereance bulbs its totally different..

But yes.. Your truck might take either the 893 bulb or the 9006 bulb for your foglights. www.showparts.com Got them both.

 

So which bulb is used in the 2001 fog fights?

 

It can be either one. Call up a ford dealer and they say the same thing. Its like ford got a deal on different size bulbs and decided to change in the middle of production.. hehehe

Just go under your truck and pull out the old one. You got to do it later anyways.. That way you order the correct one.

Smart money would say its the 893 though. Just becuase those bog lights are so damn small on the lightnings.

 

i just ordered some "HID look alikes" for the fogs. not quite sure if they are going to fit right. but they look the same. i will post again after i put them in and let every one know how they fit and work.

also ordered the superwhites for the reverse lights. I'll post pics of the changes.
