Made my first run at atlanta dragway friday night. The truck suprised me with a 13.544 with the tailgate on, and the spare tire still underneath. The truck is bone stock, except for a K&N panel replacement filter. It was about 50 degrees when I made my run. I don't have a scanner, but I am trying to get a friend to take a picture of it with his digital camera.

Thats a great time Ex. I was there also in my white '01 and ran a 13.91. I spun like a big dog off the line though. I'm thinking I lost 3 tenths easily. That cool air is great for power, bad for traction. I'm bone stock, not even a filter with 1560 miles on the odo.

 

Where is the 'atlanta dragway'? Are you talkin' about Commerce?

Good run. It'll go faster. I just did a 13.37 Fri nite in MD. No mods. There was a 2000 with a new sc doing .40s, might have gone faster after I left. Another stock 01 doing about the same. You can get a .3. Maybe even a .2! Go to the link below to check out some ets.

Thanks, I was real surprised. I know I could've hit a .2. I was doing some lousy starts. It's a different scenario at the track with a stock exhaust and everybody that lines up next to me supposedly has on mufflers but they sound like open hdrs. But I'm getting used to it. I think I was stomping the throttle when I took off and if I do right I don't stomp it as much as just press it down and I don't spin. I wanted a couple more runs but the lines were moving slow, people were breaking things on the track (clean up) and it was getting a little cold with the wind blowing the way it was. I thought you'd be there! I'll shoot for 11/4.
That 13.37 BTW(my worst rt) was against a Dodge Colt so there was no noise. I could actually hear my truck! He was tough but I got him. I think he got caught in my backwash and only did a 16.xx. I'll be in the 12s next year for sure.
