Wise man says:

A fool and his money are soon parted

Have someone scope out the R/T before you lay down money. Just good advice no flame intended.

Make sure you check for the "NAWS" before you agree to anything.

I have seen 6cyl rental cars go low 13's on a little juice

Bob

Disclaimer : I have never personally run nitrous on a rental car

I've seen it. Even if it had NOS and a blower I really don't think there is any way a DURANGO could go around me.

Put down as much as you can gather up - I'm sure he'll want to see your green. It's pretty well a sure thing. Don't spin too bad!!

I have seen some non-NOS Durango R/T's go low 12's with alot of mods... This guy was running about 20 psi of boost and blew the head gasket on his first ever run with that setup... Make sure to look under the hood because someones always faster... If he is running a stock setup to a midrange setup: chip, filter, headers, exhaust and a blower with less than 10 psi you will take him...

Later, Justin

Ahh the Dodge Durango R/T

To the performance oriented, it is considered slow.

To the non-performance oriented, it is considered powerful.

Obviously your opponent hasnt been performance oriented very long, and will soon be trading in his dodge for a Lightning. I saw one here in town one night and had to get some. They do keep up pretty well to about 30. Its a combination of their all wheel drive, and my launch technique, make sure you dont spin.

Well, here's here's a link to the movie that probably wont download. (took it up to about 100)

and a pic (if it still works)

I noticed you arent stock, but in that race, I was, except for the lack of muffler. stock airfilter, stock eec.

Now, dont bet too much, you might scare him away from betting the $$. I think he was referring to the 1st gen Lightnings when he said he ate them for lunch.

You'll have him for dinner though.

If you can time it right, just beat him by a car length or less. That way he keeps lining your pocket looking for more.
Or let him win the first time and say, "double or nothing"

I have both and there's no way he can eat L's for lunch.

If you check the message boards, you'll see that most Durango owners are happy beeing in the 13's with alot of work...including a blower.

Smoke him!!

Be careful, I know of alot of a shop that tells me the 408 Stroker motor is popular for the Durangos.... (Stroked 360)

Make sure to listen for the extra CI.... there is no visable way to tell if its a 408 or 360...

but unless he has some SERIOUS HPs, you will eat his *** up... (we have a Druango too)

Check and make sure it doesn't have 10 spark wires off of a Viper.
