I was looking into buying a set of MT ET streets for my '01, but i don't want to grind the calipers. Those of you who have grinded the calipers, would it be possible to throw a 5/16 spacer (or any other size spacer) instead of grinding them. Also, those of you who have ET Streets, are you using 26x10.5-15?? If not, what are you using?? Thanks for your input.

 

You can run the 16 inch ET streets with out any modifications. They are both 26 tall, and come in 10.5 and 11.5 wide. You need to grind the calipers to fit 15 rims. And you can use an off the shelf 15, it has to be one custom made, because the rim center must go striaght across from bead to bead. Spacers will do you no good.

 

Yeah, as Sal said. You can use any 16" rim with the right bolt pattern no problems. M/T makes 26x10.5x16 and 26x11.5x16 ET Streets. Also correct me if im wrong but by NHRA/IHRA rules, you cant use spacers.

No............ not unless you go to a 4:10 gear, and a lot more mods.
