Unless of course, you race with ER, then you get to work the track for 3 hours in 110 degree heat, then get in your truck and proceed to drive off the track 3 times in a row cuz you're about to pass out from heat exhaustion....

When have you known me to let anything go?

Next thing I know, you'll be asking me for free spark plug installs too!

Geez.

Question

"LURKER" is going to join you at the track? Where, Thunder Hill? Hooo boy, I gotta see that, even if I have to drive my TDI to watch.

I don't know, but I'm egging him on. I hope he reads the post and considers coming up. I'll give him call sooner or later even if it's just to say "hello." If he comes up with A__a, we could arrange a fun weekend for all of us. My wife would probably go, so she wouldn't be left out or bored with the auto-talk. You could bring your TDI and would probably be able to drive the course without ever lifting on the throttle or using the brakes!

Be sure to post if you guys do a ThunderHill track day. Not too bad of drive for that. Providing I can get over the Siskiyous.

If we do, the date will be posted in the Road Racing forum on NLOC.net. I'll let you know though. If we got 25 entries, it wouldn't be expensive and for a little extra, we could probably arrange instruction. I know of 10 that would sign up but it's the last 15 that are hard to find.

1/4 mile times

Ok just finished the test drive on the Roush PU that I installed the roots style charger on.All runs were done in 50 degree air[according to the in cab sensor].Best way 16.00 at 94 mph.Could not wot it in first and need to change the 1,2 shift down because it hits the rev limiter. Then I went wot after the 1,2 shift.Spun bad coming out of hole had to slowly accel until after the first shift.I am by not means a drag racer but I feel the truck would run 100s easy with slicks.Stan

I have a 2004 f150 lariat the new body style. I have been thinking on adding a roush suspension to lower the truck but still be able to carry a load. What do you guy’s recommend? How about the Saleen Suspension?
