PSP Valve Bodies

Couple questions about the psp valve body.

1. Will the wheels chirp from 1st to 2nd?
2. I dont have a chip yet, will I need one with this valve body?
3. I dont think the installation is a "do it yourself" job, approx. how much do you think installation will be?

thanks
joe santana

1.--Yes
2.--No
3.-- It's not hard to install just abit messy. I'm not sure what someone else would charge you. Maybe 50 bucks plus the new fluid and filter. Jeff

If you can change the transmission filter you can do the change the V/B.

Like Jeff said it can get a little messy...just make sure you have a large pan to catch the fluid.

NOTE:

If it is in your budget, why not upgrade to the 4x4 pan (with drain plug) and filter.

Less mess from then on...

Try fordpartsonline.com They have the best prices that I have seen. I got my pan and filter for under $50. Best dealer price was closer to $75.

The part number direct search function doesn't seem to be working right now. You can call them as well if the function doesn't get fixed soon.

The part number for the pan is: F81Z-7A194-BA
Part number for the filter is: YC3Z-7A098-BA

Hope this helps.

You can order it from Mark @ LFP.

http://www.lightningforceperformance.com/home.html

$54 for pan AND filter, $12 shipping.

Great service and a supporting vendor too!

thanks

I would just call them in the morning. The part numbers I gave you are not the ones showing up during a search. The search by part number function went down last week and the prices were great. Just my .02

I have the B&M pan. It is deeper than the 4x4 pan, it has a drain plug with a magnetic end, you use the stock filter, it also looks better. The draw back is that it definately doesn't look stock. Mark at LFP sells them also.
