Magnaflow Info...
I went with the Magnaflow. It required some custom bending, and the mech. that did the work did an excellent job. Cost me $210. 00 installed.
It took about 2 weeks for the muffler to reach "full sound potential" but it sounds great.
Deep, but suttle for normal driving, but plant the accelerator and it sounds
like "the hounds of hell" are loose..
I've heard L's with the Flowmaster and Bassani...and I agree that the Bassani is the best overall, but my opinion is that the Magnaflow is in second place....regardless of cost.

I dunno.....
I've got a Flowmaster 50 series & it sounds like a beast!!!!!! When I race, I try to be on their left so they can get the full effect. When I first got it I was coming home with the passenger window down & I'm in the right lane by a long brick wall. I could really hear the growl coming off that wall so I hit the gas & it almost broke my eardrums!!!!!! You wanna turn some heads, it will. I agree with others about performance...I checked mine before & after on a Dyno (didn't lose or gain, but I got that muscle sound I was looking for).

There is a Bassini file on the NLOC board somewhere. I will try & make one of the Flowmaster if you'd like (got to get my wife to cooperate....that kinda stuff doesn't do anything for her; you know what I mean???). Come to think of it, I believe there are some on the Flowmaster site of different cars/trucks.

Here's what a Magnaflow 12368 (over a year old) and JBA headers sound like. The back glass was open.

It sounds good, but, I think no matter what exhaust you use on a Lightning, it's always going to get overshadowed by the SC whine.........I'd like to hear what a stock Lightning sounds like doing the same thing..........and as you can tell, no I haven't let 'er rip yet!!!
