Supid Q

I been reading threads where some guys have moved to the 20" chrome wheels. Is that number the max width that looks good on L without any mechanical problems or what? Also, what do you guys do with the stock wheels and rims? Get credit towards 20" chromies?

The only stupid question is one you never ask.

You can go to at least 22 inch rims, but with 20's you have a lot more choices in tires. If you get 20's or 22's you either have to try and sell the stock tires and rims, or just store them away.

Personally I am planning on getting some new rims this spring, but I am staying with 18's

Yhere are a lot of opinions on what looks best, but what ever you like is best for your truck.

check out this pic the white truck is Hdmlnim with his 22's

thanks DB for clearing that up for me. The 22's on the white L might be too much for me. the 20s I've seen look pretty good. I could, however, see the argument for getting 18" chromies. You don't have to but another tire to accomodate.

So most people sell or store away their factory wheel sets. I guess I was hoping that I could find a place that would credit it towards a 20" chrome wheel set.

I run 20 inch chrome AFX spoke-type rims on my L, with Eagle GTII 275/45/20 inch tires that seem to hold up well smoking 'em and also get decent traction.....what year L do u have WhiteSnake?? I bought my L w/ the 20in chromes on it, but am starting to think I want the stock SVT wheels (the new ones)....the GTII's are brand new........if anyone wants 20in chromes i might consider a trade for the new stock L wheels and F1's......
