My brother has a 01 Mustang GT and was wanting some Go Fast parts........I know a lot of you guys have, or have had mustangs.
where is the best resource for Mustang Performance and/or the best 3 performance mods......probably just wants some bolt ons......nothing too Crazy........any info would be appreciated and thanx in advance

 

3.73 gears, some would argue 4.10's but that's a bit much w/o the high revving Cobra motor in my opion. Number 2 is a shifter if it's a stick shift. Pro 5.0 or Steeda Triax are good. Air kit and high flow cat pipe, off road or single cat's your choice. That should put him in the low 13's with no problem.

 

As much as some people like to rip on them too, I'd also check out JDM and SHM (Sean Hyland), they both have alot of Mustang gear.

Been working with JDM on my wifes 01 GT Auto....

FRP 4.10's, K&N OEM, JDM chip(Very different from standard superchip) for nux2...........

Thats less than 700$ in parts and labor....

Stock tires, air baffle in place, no weight reduction, stock exhaust.

The chip we worked on is excellent, night and day difference between both stock AND the standard superchips. 2 gear downshift just like the L's!!!

The wifes car and JDM's 01 GT are identical and run the identical times...well...within hundreds (.04).


We put alot of time into testing and racing and street driving to improve. Total, its about .6 off the stock times for the auto.........


Goal is mid 12's, completely streetable and reliable........can you say boost???

I know that a 99 GT got 30 rwhp with just a Bassani Catback and a Pro-M MAF. 260 rwhp.
