im looking for a used or something 4r100 trans so i can get it beefed up with out having the down time on my truck. checking around what did the 4r100 trans come in from ford that will work in our trucks after a build up..i know that there in some of the diesels but anything else and what years..

power stroke diesel???

 

Has to be a 99-up to work in the L. 5.4 4x4. 6.8 4x4, power stroke. I have been looking for the same. Rebuildablr cores are scarce and expensive.

 

E-mail me, I can build you one, they go for about $2300 w/exchange (the price for a bone stock reman replacement is about the same, by the way).
A diesel case will not work, different bolt pattern, has to be a 99 or newer (some 98s) Modular case, but upgrading one that wasn't a Lighting tranny to begin with is very expensive because of the internals, you spend almost $1200 taking a stock F-250 5.4 model and making it just the same as a stock L unit (6 gear planets, heavier OD clutch and accumulator not to mention the converter ( a L gets a V-10 converter, 6 bolts instead of 4 and higher K factor) The one I build has upgraded clutches throughout and comes with the deep pan and a pre-installed PSP Factory Tech shift kit.
