Whats your opinion of the clear taillights?

trade?
for like the 10th time on this thread....if you don't like your clears, i'll throw in my originals and a c note for the clears. Don' t have a clue what i'll do if i take mine out and ship them. "well ocifer, you won't believe this, i just put these new tail lights in and someone at the mall stole them....yes, stole my tail lights" What's the odds of getting away with that? I'd get rear ended knowing my luck.
I like the new lights by the way, i wish i could buy some reasonably priced.

At first I thought that clears would only look good on Black. I did not want them on my red 00'L, but they grew on me and I purchased a set. I have had more people comment on them at shows than any other mod. Ricer looking or whatever I have taken more than twenty trophys and most of them are first place.

Those lights look okay on any color but black....have a 99 and the thought of anything that really breaks up the blackness of the truck is a no-no in my book....the truck in black is supposed to look intimidating (you DE fans should understand that) and putting clears on makes it look wimpy.....JMHO

I'll start out by saying that i do a lot of custom work making clear tail lights and clear corners, along with restoring old lights. I dont make a ton of money off of most vehicalssince i charge a little less than what they can be boughts for, but where the real cash comes from is ones that no one makes clear tails or clorners for like the 87-88 t-bird. the nice thing about them is that i use a special plastic with a texture that i have never seen on tails or corners except mine. Some people have asked me to make the fake clear lights (euro style) but i refuse, in my personal opinion i like either stock or true clear with no red, unless i leave 3-5 pixles (very small)so that u can fights a ticket in court and win. I dont see a lot of people with the all clear tail lights, which i woul dlike to see more of since i think they are the best looking of all. So what im trying to say is GET ALL CLEAR TAILS

SVTMike24:
You would actually key someone else's Lightning because you didn't like the color? Please let us know where you live so they we can all avoid your favorite hangouts in case something about our vehicles displeases you. By the way, when I was 17 I drove a 1968 Corvette which I did pay for with money I had earned. I suspect many Lightning owners are lifelong car guys who have always driven nice (and fast) vehicles.

Almost forgot(damn, I'm gettin' old!)--driving home the other day and a trucker comes over the CB saying "look at that guy with a new truck and he goes and puts those 'clear tail lights' on it." I keyed up and informed him that they were stock on this years L--didn't tell him I didn't care for them either.
