Whats your opinion of the clear taillights?

Hey Guys

I was just wondering what the general opinion on the new clear tail lights are.
Im thinking about buying a new L but if I do, the first thing I'll do to it is to change the tail lights back to the old style.
To me the clear TLs look like something a teenager would buy from Autozone and slap on his Toyota lowrider.

Dont get me wrong, Im not knocking anyones truck and Im certinaly not trying to start a flame war, I was just wondering what you all think.

Thanks
Andy G

I think you need to ask the people that spend a lot of time looking at them. I don't see them much unless I'm racing a faster L. On black or silver the clear looks best to me. On red the old version looks better.

I agree....on the black Lightnings the clear lights are the way to go. Probably on the white ones too.....I haven't decided whether or not to put them on my red L. At first I didn't like the way they look, but now it seems like my old style lights are dated. ESPECIALLY the front lights as they tend to get faded easily. JMHO!

They look like part of a kid's outter space ray gun toy...

Oddly, almost everybody I told that I didn't like them tried to change my mind...

I am considering trimming the edges in the silver and toning down the reflector with some frost spray...

I think you're going to be seeing that style light on a lot of things in the future. The Lexus IS and Nissan Altima already have similar type tails. LEDs are going to be poping up more too. Motorcycles are switching already.
