what is the difference between the 99 and 00 lightning?

 

00 has color matched outside mirrors, overhead console with compass and thermometer, cux2 ecu, 14mm wheel studs (99 12mm), I think that's about it.

 

And 00 introduced the best looking color !!

and the reverse light on the 99 is on the middle lobe of the tail lights while the 00 is on the top.

 

Don't forget the trailer hitch. It was an option in 99 and standard
in 00.

The cd changer was standard on the 00s. I'm not sure if the 99s had grab handles on both A pillars.

 

I think the pointless little cubby hole under the steering column was only on the 99's too

Last, but not least, they also have different style tie-downs in the bed.

 

Cupholder with slide out ashtray in '99, deeper cupholder with round lidded removable ashtray in '00 to present.

'01's have turn signal mirrors and double sun visors, new rims, third **** handle, different floor mats, change in lower blower pulley mounting, new grills, revised intercooler, hmmmm....

Anything else?

 

Without all that extra stuff on there, wouldnt you think the '99 Lightnings weighed less? I know our wheels weigh less (and look better IMHO).
