Mine are getting put on Dec. 7th. I am having JDM do it for me.
I think that you have to lift the motor to get the headers on. I am hoping to feel the power and sound difference.

Sorry -

Been away for awhile.

Totaled - I have a filter, chip, billet T/B, 2lb pulley. I am at 400.0 rwhp and 483 rwtq.

I still need to put on my electric fan and was thinking about a bigger pulley but decided to wait on one of the new rumored blowers. Interestingly when I added the pulley new chip program and billet T/B I only picked up 17 rwhp total. I had a really old 01 program and thought I would get more than that. Sometimes I wonder how consistent the dyno is especially rounding off correction factors.

My A/F was a little lean at 12.6/12.7 at peak hp so I want to get a reburn for a little more fuel.

I see the JDM post of 432 hp and those are the numbers I am looking for.

Perhaps its one of those deals where the more power you make the better your gains will be. Time for a larger pulley or new blower.

Thats exactly what I was going to say, the long tubes really start to show there stuff on trucks that are spraying or running alot of blower overdrive or both.

I believe you had stock blower pulleys on your truck when you dynoed your headers before and after, right?
Well maybe Jim measured his headers before and after with his truck and he probably has a 4# lower and 2# upper. That would be a difference. Or maybe the rest of his exhaust is different. Not trying to start anything, just trying to figure out what is the answer. Pulleys change everything. Powerband ranges, etc...
I am wondering what Jim did to truck to run a 11.61 from a 11.83

NeedFourSpeed, I agree with the above two replies -- the headers really show there stuff with big boost or spray

J.D.Blackwell, my guess = higher stall converter. My 2400 will not do 1.5 60's so I have to live with 1.6 60's

J.D. -

You are right about the before and after. I had the stock pullies then and am only running a 2# now. Perhaps before the header change I should try the 4# and get my A/F dialed in.

Jim's 432 rwhp was with a 4lb lower, chip, filter....not sure about the throttle body.

My stock HP was a strong 355+. chip, filter, 2# pulley, Billet T/B, breather, and headers brought me up to 400.0. There is a little part of me that keeps thinking these mods should have added up to more than 45rwhp.

Don't get me wrong, 400 rwhp is nice but somewhere in the 425-430 range sounds alot more impressive and appears to be what is needed to start pushing the 11 second barrier.
