Already have TSBs, or are they from last year?

02'Lights are starting out good not even a month old and problems. Great quality control.

while they do apply to 02 Ls, those 2 tsb's are information only and were updated to include all vehicle lines through 02. They are just charts telling which trans fluid to use in which vehicles and how to diagnose repeat heater core failures. They are not talking about any problems with Ls.

In fact if you pull up, say like a 99 taurus, you get those same 2 TSBs also.

How about these, on the '01's

http://www.alldata.com/TSB/20/012068DI.html

There's 3 safety recalls on it.....I've had the truck for a little over a month; should I take it in for those, or will they contact me, or should I ignore it???

I'm concerned now.

thanks,
JC

hahah, that alldata site is so bogus, i checked out the details for that 1st recall about the airbags and it only applied to trucks built at kentucky, kansas and michigan, which would never be a lightning. heres what it says.,

DEMONSTRATION / DELIVERY HOLD: Safety Recall 01S10 - Certain 2001 Model Year F-Series, F-Series Super Duty, Excursion, and Expedition Vehicles built Through February 28, 2001 - Driver's Airbag Replacement

AFFECTED VEHICLES

Certain 2001 model year F-Series, F-Series Super Duty, and Excursion vehicles built at the Kentucky Truck Plant and the Kansas City Assembly Plant from February 26, 2001 through February 28, 2001
Certain 2001 model year Expedition vehicles built at the Michigan Truck Plant from February 26, 2001 through February 27, 2001

and the second recall the same thing, ...

DEMONSTRATION / DELIVERY HOLD: Safety Recall 01S11 - Certain 2001 Model Year F150 4x2 Vehicles - Front Brake Hose Replacement

REF:

Dealer Announcement dated May 10, 1999, Low Volume Recalls and Owner Notification Programs (Attachment IV)

AFFECTED VEHICLES

Certain 2001 model year F150 4x2 vehicles (Approximately 700 in the U.S. and 2700 in Mexico), built at the Cuautitlan Assembly Plant from December 13, 2000 through February 20, 2001.

and the same for the 3rd....

DEMONSTRATION / DELIVERY HOLD: Safety Recall 00S35: Certain 2001 Model Year F-150 Regular Cab - Driver's Side Seat Belt Retractor Replacement.

Ref:

All Dealer Letter dated May 10, 1999, Low Volume Recalls and Owner Notification Programs (Attachment IV)

AFFECTED VEHICLES

Certain 2001 model year F-150 regular cab trucks built at the Norfolk Assembly Plant from September 30, 2000, through October 16, 2000.

so in other words, none of those 3 recall would ever apply to any lightning.

Dude.....you're like a box of information!! Thanks.

I realized how generic that website is when I entered my old vehicle's info, for which I knew all the valid recalls, and the not so valid ones.......Thanks though.........I feel better now for sure about the whole recall thing.........I would of hated to take in for something so stupid within a couple months of purchasing it.
