D@mn Deer!!!

Photo says it all

Sunday night, about 50 mph, and WHAM!
Only thoughts:
1) ****!! DEER!!
2) What the... oh there went the front tag.
3) So that's what Anti-Lock breaks feel like.
More Photos!
Had to use a Come-a-Long to pull bumber off front wheel. Still driving it.

Looking for a good body shop in Lawrenceville, Loganville, Snellville, Duluth GA area.
Want to put either Speed Scene or Trenz grill on it. Maybe even AAD F-1 Hood. Getting it looked at tomorrow by State Farm recomended place.

More info, photos coming.

Consider your self lucky. When we hit a deer six months ago, the entire front en was crushed. All the fiberglass... Gone! $2000 of body work later she is pretty.

But it is a good thing you didn't get hurt as well. Did the air bag pop?

Ouch!

Been there, done that, in GA, but not in my L...

Georgia Fish and Game needs to up the bag limit on deer.

Was it in good enough shape to get processed? Do you need a big game tag on one if you hit it with a vehicle?

J/K I hate that your truck got hit but at least you're OK.

Look on the bright side..... At least it wasn't one of those brutes they have to look out for in the north-east. (It was a whitetail right?) When I was driving OTR, I used to see a lot of VERY large deer laying on the side of I-80 in PA every winter. I guess they are drawn to the huge salt lick. One of those bad boys could probably total you out and jump up to call a tow for you.

That sucks! Hope you can get her fixed before Jan 26th.

If you'd been in the boost, the scream would have scared it away--hope you get it back 'as good as new'.

I was hoping that it wasn't what i thought it was when I opened this thread..........BUT..........it was! This sucks, I have managed to miss TWO friggin deer here in Jersey. Not because of my skill, they (the deer) zigged when I zagged Time to let the hunters increase the "bag" limit

Talking

A good friend of mine hit a moose up in Maine this fall. He WAS driving a 00 Chevy 4x4, now that the moose claimed that, he is driving a 01 Ford 4x4. That is making the change the hard way.
Both deer and moose aren't terribly friendly to cars.

Sorry to hear that...glad you are ok. Im surprised that the damage is that minimal. Did you have some braking time before impact?

Happy holidays
