Wax

What is the name of that fancy 2 or 3 stage wet wax many of you are using? Is there anything better?

Are you talking about ZAINO Brothers wax. That is a very good wax, but I use Cherry Wet wax which is also a good wax. Neither of the waxes last very long on your car, but it looks nice and shiny when it is still on there.

I know you guys hate to hear it, but McGuire's and a buffer works wonders.

I guess it helps to have 10 coats of Liquid Glass below it...

Cherry Wet and Porter Cable random orbital buffer. Goes on easy, comes off easy, great shine, and not expensive. $22 a gallon.

Tampa: Your L looks purtty enough to be svt vehicle of the month --oh yeah!

Yes, Cherry Wet Wax goes on easy by hand and comes off just as easy by hand. You can get it from coatsproducts.com along with their Hawaiian Wash Soap and their Miracle Mist--all great stuff.

Zanio it's a polish, not a wax

that's what I use. I like it too, expensive yes, long process yes, but very easy to use. I feel it also lasts a long time. Do the complete process once, and maybe a quick layer monthly or bi-monthly and you are set. I've seen pictures taken after a month that look like it was just applied.

you need to realize that darker colors have a deeper / wetter look after being all waxed up when comparied to the lighter ones. Yes TampaSVT's truck looks great, but he also spent a week doing it, used a buffer (in my opinion helps alot), and has a RED Lightning. In my opinion same process done on a White or Silver L wouldn't look as deep and wet.

Whatever quality wax(polish) you choose will give satifactory results if, it's quality wax, time was spent, and it is done often enough.

polished ~ 1 month prior to pic

I know of some really expensive wax. I posted the link before and went on a quest to find some people that use it. Well I did and they all said they can get a shine with it that they can't get with any other wax. It's called Pinnacle Souveran.

Here's a link to the place you can get it.

and you thought Zaino was expensive...

El Cheapo (Nu Finish) works just fine. It lasts a long time. It's easy to apply. And it looks just as good as the expensive stuff to people who don't know what you used. Guys that spend hours on their paint with expensive polishes or waxes always want to know how I keep mine looking so good all the time. HaHaHa! It's a secret.
