I had to sign a waiver for mine as well. Really, the only reason cops will give you a hard time about it is because they can't see you as they approach your vehicle -and in turn feel threatened. Trust me on this one -if you're tinted and you get pulled over (I don't care if it's snowing out), roll both windows all the way down and turn on your dome light. Most cops will actually thank you for it -and usually let you go.
