What did u trade or sell for the L
#61
I traded a 1996 Ranger to get my L. I kept modding the Ranger to get it running and looking like I wanted, but just wasn't getting there. On a trip to the dealer one day to get parts I seen the L, and that was all it took. I rushed back home and cancelled my supercharger order, came back and traded, and haven't looked back since. I see the Ranger around occasionally, and the new owner has let it go really bad. It kinda hurts to see something that you put a lot of time and effort into go to waste like that, but it's his truck.

92 Flareside 87K on the OD. Patched up the oil pan leak, and sort of fixed the exhaust. Got $5699 more than the $1 I thought they would give on trade. Never looked back. I felt guilty for about 5 minutes, until I got in the L and nailed it out of the lot before they changed their mind....

94 iMP3ala SS - was used for daily driver, official tow vehicle for my 98 Formula.
Needed a vehicle just as fast (14.6@92), handled just as well, AND had to be able to tow my Formula, etc...
My 2001 Lightning is perfect and all of the above! (13.10@105) handling is about even and the iMP3ala SS handled great!

my '96 mark VIII, and a hole i put money into, aka, a '79 Dodge Lil Red Express truck. You can talk nostalgically about those old rides all ya want, go drive one and you'll be glad to have what the 21st century offers! I've argued this point with Sy/Ty owners, sure quarter mile times are awesome, but its yester-years technology, ride, handling and all the rest.
You can't beat the deal we get with out trucks with a stick.
