Ive made a few posts here lately about my trans. "slipping" into 2nd gear. It appears the general diagnosis is fried clutch packs. If this is true, would the trans. fluid be discolored and have a burnt smell to it or not? I pulled the tranny. dipstick out several times and cleaned it off, the fluid is still a pretty transparent red. No foreign looking particles of any sort in it!! WTF? Could there be another problem somewhere? Someone please clue me in on this!
