How can Ford even attempt to argue that a Factory Part used on heavier models of the same tranny caused a failure when put on? Anyone making that argument needs a mention in the "strapped to a chair and beat with a hammer" thread.
This is one "mod" I'm pretty confident is warrenty friendly, even if your dealer is a real weiner about these things.

And anyhow, most dealers would have to really be paying attn to even know it's wasn't the stock pan, most 4R100s get a deep pan anyhow.
Or you could go to the dealer that says a certain problem is common on the Cobras w/ automatics and Lightnings. I was under the impression that they ain't no such animal as a Corbra with an automatic.
