Cobra-R motor

Does anyone know what the Cobra-R has in it for crank, rods, and pistons? Are the the same as ours?

Hypothetically speaking, if a guy were able to pick one up reasonably cheap would it be better to supercharge it or turbo it for our trucks?

If you were able to pick one up for cheap (how im not quite sure), it would be better to put a Procharger F4 on it or a Turbonetics T66 Turbo on it. A roots blower would not be the way to go with that beast.

As for the internals im not sure what they are. But I am almost certian that you cant run to much boost in the motor due to the raised compression.

I'll have to go back and read up but I believe the internals are all aftermarket pieces. About the ? of supercharging or turbocharging it, I would definately turbocharge it. That T66 would work great, its a nice all around turbo. If you want to get crazy then you could go much bigger but it would suck for street driving. I believe the T66 can handle up to high 600hp anyway.

Thanks Ron. I was able to find out a little more also. Forged steel crank and the rods are Carillo. Sounds like a good project.
