If you want another rod option check out the Carrillo's. Same rods that are in the Cobra-R. A mere $280/ea is the price for admission.

I believe the oliver rods are nice but more expensive. Ford used the manley rods in the concept GT40 they put together. Not sure if that is a good endorsement or not considering their decision making with the L motor!

Question

I went to the Manley web site and was inundated by a dearth of information. For comparison purposes I wanted to price their "I" beam rods, but the only pricing info I could find was on the "H" beam rods that are on sale for 400 bucks. Is this a really good price? How much would it cost to upgrade to the stronger bolts? Do these fit our motors? Just trying to decide if I should spring for a set while they are on sale, or just wait until I am ready to rebuild the motor, which probably won't be until fall.

Question

has anyone considered/talked to Crower? it sounds like this is going to be very expensive, unless we can get a quantity buy together

I have been talking to manley about this for a few months now. They say their pistons will be out in mid Feb and the price shoud be "very competitive". They said that we can go through one of their vendors for a group buy, but if we can't find one or a good enough deal, they will hook it up. They also expressed plans on a much stronger crank by some time next fall.
