Why don't you guys reccomend them?.....I'm just curious...

I don't know about other applications, but a friend of mine put one on his '01 Accord, and he lost about 13 HP on the dyno stock............once he put in his mods, he was still making less than stock HP at the wheels........
Once they removed the JET Power Module, he went up to 187HP at the wheels, which is 27 HP over stock!!!
So, I've seen first hand, the crappiness of this product on another application...........like I said, don't know about other applications, but this is my basis for opinion........STAY AWAY!!

The reason those "inline" modules are junk is because they are limited in what they can do. When you buy a regular chip, it plugs into the back of the PCM, and it overwrites the factory calibration, with what we choose to change. We have access to ALMOST ever parameter. With the inline modules, they way they work is they simply intercept signals coming in from input sensors, and then change the values of those inputs so the PCM sees them differently. For example, they will take the intake air charge temperature signal, and make the PCM think it's "colder" out, to add some timing. All those modules do is "trick" the PCM. This is really not what you want to be doing. Your idea of using one as a "traceless" chip is a good idea, but you'll be wasting your money because you really won't get any performance.
