After loving my truck for a while and then getting to give it a small test drive, I have a good friend looking to lease a 1999/2000. Anyone know of any around in the NJ/NY/PA area where he can grab one in the 25,000-29,000 price range?

Should be able to buy a 2000-2001 for under 25 easy, look on ebay and there are 2000's going for 22ish.

Unfortunately not everyone has access to a pin like alot of you guys, or don't want to wait a year for the eaa deal to happen.
Another thing not all dealers will cut loose with x or a plan prices...jost my .02.............

in the truck trader about a month ago there was a dealer in p.a. that had a new 01 leftover for 28,900 with no plans.
I dont remember the name of the dealer if u pick up the truck trader it might still be there.

 

Garnet Ford IN Chads Ford pa. on 202 has a ture blue 2002 on the lot and said they would take X-plan for it. They alos have a red 99 goin for around 22.

 

He needs to lease because he can't afford to buy it. Leasing monthly payments are half that of a finance arrangment. He dosn't have the worlds greatest credit.

I would easily point out cheap ones on ebay to him, but he -needs- to lease, not finance.

Where we live in NJ, his insurance is easily going to be ~$250mo-~$300mo on top of the truck payments. (He's younger then me, and it would be his only insured vehicle)

Dan, you have to have better credit to lease as opposed to buying. I don't know why slick would say, stay away from All American Ford. I bought two Lightnings (99 & 01) from them. I bought both for sticker when they first came out and their service dept. has been great to me. Free loaner cars, etc. Maybe, just maybe attitude has something to do here? BTW..just got my insurance renewal, went up another 130 bucks per six months, no tickets or accidents

 

Ls do not lease well at all especially new.
In 2000 i leased a new expedition sticker was $38k with a plan
i got a 24 month red carpet lease for 293 a month plus tax with
3k down.
Also there was the then new silver L i was tryin to swing a deal on that but they wanted 680 a month with the same down payment and sticker was only 31500.

 

Hey Slick, your not kidding about All American. I made the mistake of buying my truck from there. I did not get a bad deal on the truck, but the sales managers and finance people are all horrible to deal with. If I could do it over I would definetely go with Pistilli Ford.
