Freaking Squeaking

Ok, i don't know if it's my tonneau cover, or something else but -almost- everytime i drive the L over like speed bumps, or anything rough, i get like a sqeaking noise seems like coming from the passanger side. What the heck? I hate that. Any of you guys heard this? Could it be my tonneau? Struts? What? This can't be just me.....

P.S. It's annoying as hell and people look at me funny when it happens.

Its your JL induction Kit. Mine does the same thing. I am looking in to some high density foam (like they use in camera case) to stop the squeaking. I'll let you know when i get it done and tell you if it works.

Its not the induction kit b/c it happened before I bought and installed the kit. It might be the bed...will Ford fix it?

im thinking its also the bed, everytime i go over speedbumps, or any quick elevation change, ( like a steep driveway) i also get somesort a sound coming from the passenger side back. might take it too ford.

Check the little rubber bushing where the tailgate closes. They sometimes tend to flip around and you hear the tailgate rattling against the back of the bed. My 2000 did this and drove he f in crazy untill I finally figured out what it was. These black rubber bushings are only held on by 2 plastic screw push pins. Hope this helps .

My bed used to squeek until I had a spray in liner installed. It tightened the bed up. No more squeeks for me!

Try spraying some lithium grease into the latches of the tailgate. My 99' had this annoying squeak every time I hit any little bumps and that did the trick.

Mine squeeked from the front when it was new. I was a loose fender bolt.

You're not alone! Driving on rough Cali roads, I hear it ALLLLLLLL the damn time...bugs me when the windows are down, or the radio is off.

Man, my bed squeeks like an old box-spring mattress in a wh0re house! I can't even open my sliding window without going nuts from the constant "eek-eek-eek-eek". It doesn't even take a bump in the road to set mine off....Hell, if I run over a painted stripe on the pavement, mine squeeks. I crawled around underneath it to see if there were any grease points, but I couldn't find anything. I guess I'll take it to the dealership to see if they can do anything about it.
