Here's what I did on the oil pressure gauge. Let's you utilize both OEM and aftermarket gauges. You could run a temp sending unit there as well.

Don't put the 90's in until after the "T" is installed.

Was just looking for this thread to see if it was helpful. Guess so.
I found/bought the fittings as Lowe's and they are the same thread as the OEM oil pressure sending unit. I'm pretty sure it is
1/8 npt. If possible, take the sending units with you.
As for the thermostat, the brass fitting is the sending unit included with the Autometer water temp gauge. I drilled a hole in the housing, tapped it, test fit, and re-installed.
Another Note: Install the housing onto the block first then thread in the sending unit as it impedes the installation and proper torque of the thermostat housing bolts.
Teflon tape is your friend.
