Spark Plug Misfire test results
I had one of my SAE instructor friends test some of the more popular plugs in a lab with a Ford coilpack, under a simulated combustion chamber pressure, at various simulated RPM fire rates. Take a look at the Denso Iridium's, f()ck!ing amazing.

The chart has a graph on it as well.
I also have a tolulene / xylene mixing ratio chart if anybody is interested.

Note that each RPM increment was tested for 5 minutes and averaged per the 5 minutes. I.e. 3500 RPM's were cycled for five minutes, number of misses divided by time.
It should be noted that a 3500 RPM cycle test only fires the plug
1750 times per minute, remember this is a 4 cycle engine.
The pressure simulated the volume of our 5.4 L engine with a 10.2:1 compression rato, meaning the boost was "on".
Keep in mind that more testing would have to be done to simulate higher levels of boost, which statisticly would increase the number of misfires.

I got my Denso's from Johnny Lightning... I thought it was a good price. Later I found a place where you can order any qty you need form a distributor... looked at the price per and found that I saved about $5.00 by getting them from Johnny.
There may be better places to get them but I'd rather send it to a supporter of our trucks.
