Angry 3 weeks and still waiting for mods to come

Placed an order for the following mods: shift kit, 4 lb pulley, flip chip, traction bars, air filter kit and denso plugs from one of the three big tuners. The first week there was a back order for the denso plugs and traction bars so I waited patiently. I called the second week and they were waiting for the air filter kit and pulley tool to come in I told them to send whatever parts that they had. Three weeks later and STILL NO PARTS have arrived. Is there a shortage of performance parts that I was not aware of? Should I continue to wait or cancel the order and find another tuner?

Demand exceeding supply

Everything I have ordered has been on some kind of back order. The internet is a powerful tool.A new item comes out and everybody wants it yesterday.Just my 2 cents.

While it likely makes you feel better to vent here...
You will get better results by contracting the tuners directly.

The answers has been 1) the parts are going out at the end of the week, 2) the parts are going out at the end of the week, 3) I will mail them tomorrow. Three dates were given and all wrong. It would be more realistic to just say there is a 2-3 week wait and let the buyer decide to stay or go elsewhere. Just common courtesy IMHO.

I'm sure that I'm the guilty party here, no shame in it, I admit it. Over the past month we have been totally jam packed with orders, reburns, getting the short blocks together, and many other odds and ends, and we have fallen behind a bit on orders. Also, parts do get backordered, and many times we are at the mercy of our suppliers, yet we have to be the ones expaining to the customers why they haven't gotten thier parts.

I will be working my BUTT off over the weekend to catch up on some orders. Please be patient, as I am sure you'll be happy with the results in the end We will be out of the office tomorrow, but feel free to call on Friday for an order status update.

I think the problem is everyone, and I mean Everyone is getting there truck ready for the racing season to begin. Now with 4 years of Gen 2's and 3 years of Gen 1's out there it is just a little to much for the tuners to handle.

Remember none of them are companies like Summit or Jegs that stock thousands of parts, they are small specialty shops, so at times like these they have a hard time.

Relax your stuff will get to you.

I say, whenever your having trouble getting your parts, call and talk to the owner. You'll get good results that way, and if the results are still bad: "Do business with somebody else!!!" (No flame intended toward any vendor!!!!!!!!!!)

You have to remember all of the Tuners are getting ready for race season as are many of us!! Supply & demand is very high now!!

I can only speak for JL & Sal, but they have always gave me great service and got it to me quick. If they are out of stock it could take awhile to get stuff in due to 3rd party venders & stuff!!
