Subwoofer boxes for an L?

I had a 10" subwoofer in my old extended cab truck. Now that I have the L, there is no room for this enclosure. Does anyone make a custom enclosure for our trucks that will fit behind the seat? Does anyone have pics? I need bass!

MTX makes a stealth box that hold 2 10" subs. Several guys on here have them...just hang tight I'm sure they'll post some pics for you.

Also try www.Velocityaudio.com for some decent prices on them.

Thunderforms - Don't those things come with any type of grilles?? I like them (and will probably buy one), but I can easily imagine something falling and punching right through those $100 cones.

Do they sell welded grilles for these, or do you have to go to Radio Schlock for some?

I picked up a little amplifed Bazooka RF 6 1/2" Bass Tube for behind my seat. I got it for next to nothing and it provides a nice compliment to the Phoenix Gold 5x7's in the doors and rear panels.

It also takes less than 30 seconds to remove for when it's track time. =)

I have been contemplating buying the MTX box, but was wondering how it sounded. I have JL's soo that is what I would be putting in there. I like deep bass, but would build my own if it sounds better.

I have a JL microsub, and 4 kenwood excelon 6x8's, all hooked up to a 5 channel MTX amp. I used 2 audiolink LOC's to connect it to the factory deck. My main objective is to appear stock. (living in NY, your ride is never completely safe) I think it sounds killer! One thing that is often overlooked, or not often posted, is that you MUST USE some type of anti vibration/sound deadning material-spray. With any decent bass, these L's shudder like mad.

I didn't want to lose the storage compartment behind the seat of my L. I built a sub box that sits on the transmission hump infront of the seat. It doubles as a centre console. I built it with two isobaric 8"subs, plexy glass and color matched it to the int. It pounds hard, looks good and comes out in 2 seconds.

krzcwby,
I was thinking of doing something similar to you after seeing the Clarion unit that mounts on the hump. Do you have any pics?
