Hey lightning Jeff ,
Ease up with all the questions, you sound like I did this past summer when I was asking JDM a lot of questions. I've learnedto have more patience latley.
That's the second time you have asked these questions and you don't run his stuff anymore.
Just joking with you..
What's the scoop??? You got any inside info??

I am just trying to find what makes these trucks fast and safe. I was just wondering since his motor was apart if he had some better pistons and some head work done. Seems like a smart thing to do. I still have a JL 4# pulley on. I am not trying to start anything DL. I just like to ask questions.

I was testing my new long tubes and ran a 12.4@112 w/ a 2.0 60' and street chip. The track conditions were horrible. I usually get at least a 1.7 and normally a 1.6x 60'.

Good for Johnny but how did YOUR test come out with the long tube headers? Did you see any improvement, and if so what brand of headers do you have?

Chikenears,
I feel the long tubes made a big difference. I can feel a SOTP differnce. I haven't had it on the dyno or any good runs at the track. But I had identical mods on my 99 and ran a 120.7@112 w/ a 1.6x 60'. Lastnight I ran a 12.4@112 really bad traction issues. The chip was a conservitive program also.

With the original manifolds, I had some drone after installing the bassani cat pipe and cat back. With the long tubes,it's gone! The exhaust sounds quiet under light throttle...we'll quite considering the setup. It sounds mean under full throttle. You will love it! I expected it to be louder, but I'm actually glad it's not.
