I had a friend recommend JMS to me, does anyone out there have a JMS chip? I was on the edge of ordering a JDM chip but this guy is a lot closer and can tune my truck for me. Damn it!!! I am confused now..............

Thanks for any help

Qball

BTW the 4 program chip from JMS is $310...purty cheap (I know you get what you pay for most times but that's why I am askin )

I wouldn't even consider it!

Stick to the main 3 guys, PSP, JDM, or JL.

He uses the same chip as PSP, The only reason he was recommended to me is that he can at least dyno tune my truck...oh well

It's not the chip, it's the knowledge of the chip tuner

Lets not forget Swanson. He isn't as popular, but one of the "cutting edge" tuners around without a doubt.

Well Chris Johnson of JMS is a tuning whiz . If he can do what he does best with the dyno time I woulld let him do it. I have seen him do wonders with Mustangs

If I could have him dyno tune it, I'd definitely go for it.

I think any of the known tuners in-person dyno tunes would be better than a mail order chip.

The guys here, why are giving the advice to not get a JMS chip, what are you basing your info on. Lightningsvt01 has a JMS chip and it dynoed out to 404 hp with 516 # torque. Thats with just a chip and 4# pulley. Chris Johnson is the man in South Al. He can tune with the best of them. I would go with the dyno tune and JMS chip. I know we have the big three but there is nothing better than a real dyno tune. Nuff said.
Qball I see Chris weekly and he is always working with Stangs and Lightning, he does his research and keeps up with the times. I have even worked with him and Russ (lightningsvt01) he is willing to spend the time to make your L everthing you want it to be. Call him and ask him about the prices though I don't think you will get the chip and dyno for 310.00 Thats just the chip and the dyno will run 90.00, but call and make sure. email me if I can help.
