Forgive me if I'm the only one that didn't already know about this. Some of the guys over on LS1.com were griping about SLP joining up with Ford................

I get a 'This page cannot be found' with the link provided.

I know nothing of the Thunderbolt. What's the story?

***Got the page loaded up. Now I know what the Thunderbolt is! Nevermind.

Sorry guys....I'm still 'new' at this stuff. I right clicked on the link, copied, and then posted--then pasted and it shows up but it doesn't 'connect'?

In any case, it's a tarted-up new Ranger. Has stylin' doo-dahs on it and a cat/back--plus other goodies. It's posted on LS1.com on the "Almost Anything Goes" site.

Just saw the 'follow up' and 'help'. Thanks guys.

Dan

The only performance mod is an exhaust and an air filter? A suspension option available? Its definately an "eXtreme" for Ford.

It needs a blower! Then it would be "Extreme"

Cool

Maybe some of you older guys might remeber, but I thought a Thunderbolt was a mid 60's Fairlane made by Ford that was a factory drag racer and came with the famous 427, aluminum body panels, no back seat etc.. and would run 12's bone stock.

i think it had a 'glass front clip if i'm not mistaken, what a ride that must have been. i've talked to a few guys who had them back in the day and they said they were quite the rockets. wonder where the ones not wrecked are at now, haven't seen one in years.

I couldn't have said it better myself!!! I had an Xtreme driver come up to me at the gas station the other day gawking at my truck. He said the Lightning is the Xtreme's big brother. I laughed to myself and was thinking that is like saying a Z06 is the big brother to a Geo Metro. An Xtreme is a plain 'ol Chevy pickup with spoilers, period.
LMAO
