PLEASE help!!!! Big problem in Drivetrain Tonight
Really have no idea what is up, It has to be in the drivetrain. Either something in the Transmission, or maybe torque converter. Yesterday it was fine, and tonight driving out of the neighborhood, the truck has no torque. The power isn't getting to the rear wheels basically at all. It will crawl at around 10mph, but if you hit the gas it revs up, just nothing to the ground. Calling Ford in the morning, just wondered if anyone had any ideas or maybe happened to them before. I made it back home, but it wouldnt even get up the driveway and it is maybe a 25 degree incline. Took the chip out and still does it.
Thanks in advance

Yep, reverse is same way. Thanks for the idea. I have the PSP shift kit in there, and I am hoping it isn't the whole transmission cause if they change it then I will just lose it. It is really weird, thought maybe it had something to do with the cold, cause it was like 5 degrees out at the time. I am gonna go out there soon and see if it still does it.

Yep still does it, couldn't even back all the way up the drive way, the front is hanging in the street with the hood up. Have to get all evidence of a chip out of there.
Speedin,
I am on the southside close to greenwood. Usually downtown on friday and sat nights if it is decent. If you want my e-mail it is piekappphi@aol.com.

Look in the trucks manual and locate the fuse for the HEGO sensor (Heated Exhaust Gas Oxygen). It should be in the fuse box towards the front of the engine bay. It'll be blue in color, 15 amp. Your truck sounds exactly like what mine did when the fuse blew.
Just read your other email about having the longtubes put on. My guess would be the fuse.

Well Service Manager just called and said Tranny is shot, so there goes that factory tech shift kit in there. I can't tell them it is in there or they might not cover it. The service guy is pretty cool but don't want to take that chance. He said the tranny was just burned up, whatever he means by that. I wasn't even driving it hard when this happened.
Anybody think the shift kit would have caused this at all??? I thought the shift kit was supposed to help save tranny's. Thanks.

HMM, good point about the pan. I didn't get the deeper pan cause the truck is lowered and didn't want to worry about it. We have a couple calls in to different people including the guy that makes the shift kit so i will for sure ask him about that.
Has anyone else had a shift kit and blown a tranny before??? What did your dealer say??
