OIL poll... what kind?
I will be changing my oil for the first time this weekend. I am at about 1600 miles. What is everyones opinion on the brand and weight of oil that would be best? I am really thinking Mobil 1 10W-30. Also, what oil filter is best? I know this has been covered ad nauseum, but I need some advice for me.

I use Synthetic Mobil 1 5W-30 in all my cars. I can tell you from personal experince that in the extreme temperatures that we have here in Alaska, synthetic oil is ten times better than regular. When I mean extreme, I mean starting a car at -50 degrees! 
If synthetic works this well at such an extreme case, then you can just imagine how well it works at a sane temperature.
Oh, and by the way. Before I moved to Alaska, I thought synthetic oils were just a waste of money, but now that I have seen what they do.... I will never run anything but synthetics again!
