Lightning are old news!
This was a post in the tires and wheels forum talking about the SRT 10 with 24's, I figured you would want to know also.
The L was not the first sport truck, Dodge came out with the little red express and this was the beginning of the sport truck, they came out with it after the muscle car was being attacked by smog laws and trucks were exempt so there they went with the first sport truck. Dodge also had the V10 Runner which was a single cab short bed 2wd and lowered, it ran the V10 Viper engine with slight modifications. The trucks ran in Mexico and were not talked about in the states, but I saw one in person in the CA valley with mexico plates on the back. I beleive this was back in 98.

Hmm.
Mine was BUILT by SVT (#1558 of a run of 4000 in 1999), and then I bought it. Does that count?
What if I buy the parts to build the truck with? Does that count?
Or are you saying that I have to physically MAKE every part on the truck before it counts?
A sport truck (really) is any truck that is used for purposes other than the original intent that trucks were created for. Made or bought. Now take that weak game somewhere where people actually listen to it. Helpful HINT: if you wanna pee in here, don't squat.

I have to agree with redlightspecial. Besides, there was also the Syclone/Typhoon Chevys after the Lil' Red Express, but who cares! The L is the ONLY "sport" truck game in town right now. If Dodge (Websters defines Dodge as AVOID...) ever builds the SRT10 hopefully it will inspire Ford to make the L faster or at least equal in performance and cheaper in price.
