Smoothie II's are nice...

I've had my 18x10 Smoothie II's on my Silver 2002 L for about 2 months, mine only took 5 weeks to get them. I ordered them directly from Boyd Coddington. On the 18's there is only a 1/4" clearance between the front calipers & the wheesl. They fit fine, & look excellent, but are close. I also had a hard time finding lug nuts to fit, the hole is very small & a very narrow socket had to be used. They are definitely worth the wait. I'm 45 years old & from a generation where the 18's were huge to me so I went with them, but the 20's look good. Good luck.

Are you the silver lightning on www.socalsvtoa.com that has the smoothies on their truck? I had made a post on who that was but i dont remeber if anyone ever responded. As for the calipers yeah they were pretty close even with the 20's. For the lugs Rob G gave me the heads up about them but my rim guy had eveything i needed.

Im not sure but i know that my rim guy went nuts looking through all his lugs to see which ones would fit. I can find out though. Man you were right no room in the lugnut holes. Rob are your timeless 2 rims close to the caliper? Mine are close but they clear it? Oh yeah talked to the upholstry guy today to wedensday or thursday will be getting the seat done cant wait.

I had the same problem with my 20's....lugs didnt fit. I went with acorn bulge lugnuts. Excellent lugs...came with locks and chrome valve stems...all for $69.00. If any of you need the site I can post it later...when I get home from work.
