I too tokk the survey, what can I saw WOW!! Mine priced out @ around $40,000!!! I went with the 6.8 s/c 500/500 engine, Brembos, larger rims & tires, 6sp "paddle shifter" (would be very cool) I noted that if they built this monster & kept it around 40k, then I would be down @ the dealer the next morning with my deposit in hand!!!

I know thery are making them for 2003 and are making a few changes.Id like to see them wait til next body style to change too much.It would be a slap in the face for us lightning owners who have already bought one the last 4 years to be FORCED to buy one next year as the last year that surpasses the 99/00/01/02 by too much.
If they want to change some colors, fix reliable issues and some appearance updates,it would be fine but for them to come out with this AWESOME totally new truck in old body just for 1 year would decrease our interest who cannot afford to trade right away! That would **** off many people.

450 hp with strength to grow
6-speed manual (or paddle shifter)
200 lb weight reduction
larger (diameter and width) lighter wheels
better speakers
The manual will save some weight, use a composite tailgate, intake manifold, leaf springs, reduce sound deadening material, aluminum front calipers, aluminum block. Suggest staying with a SOHC but using 3-valves for cost and low rpm power delivery. Distribute most of these upgrades throughtout your truck line to amortize costs.

Lets forget any use of a lightning as a tow vehicle or work truck...
Bucket Seats with the Center Console
Stereo like the new stang's 1000 Watt
In Dash 6 CD
Better Gauges
Maybe a manual option with no center console
20in wheels or bigger
lower stance than now, maybe a 1/2 drop or something
Better sounding exhaust
Better Brakes
More Colors
4V heads
Manley rods like the 03 Cobra
Better Blower
Electric Fan
Roll Pan from the factory
NO STUPID TOW HITCH!!!
450+ rated HP maybe 500+ to match the dodge
NO sliding back glass
Lets be realistic, not many of us use these as trucks... I wouldnt ever do it, its not practical... And not to many of us use these as colector vehicles so production #'s and styles should have more options....

I would like them to STOP making them for a year or two.
As far as (*edit)saying people do not use their L as a truck (i.e. towing, or work truck) I say you are smoking crack, just because most people on these boards don't, I'd say probably at least 65% of L owners bought them because of those capabilities, myself included.
And, yes, it would be nice to see all of these option come true it's still gonna cost plenty of dough and push the price of an L over $40k, which alot of people that own an L now wouldn't be able to afford or just wouldn't spend that much. I wouldn't.
My $.02,
Brett
