Hey Litning lover, hate to burst your bubble but read the text in the blue. The last line says there is no intention for production.

BTW, I got that off the Ford SVT website under the "concept" section.

SVT Lightning

SVT should come up with a better Lightning so it could keep
up with that new Dodge Viper ram!

The New Lightning Should Have At least 450HP with a better
engine

i agree with more power, better sound system, lowering and such. but no one has mentioned traction control. i guess i'm the only one who wouldn't mind some traction? escpecially in the rain?

Upgrade the power and handling cause I need to stay ahead of the fuzz.

Ford owns roughly 80 percent of the police cruiser market here in the States, but isn't resting on its laurels. This cop car showed off what goodies Ford has in store for our nation's law officers.

An imposing push bar dominates the Interceptor's nose and is supported by a reinforced beam that allows stranded vehicles to be pushed to a safe location. This big bumper can also be used to push the corner of a fleeing vehicle to force it into a spin and avoid a high-speed chase. Xenon headlights along with search lights mounted on the side mirrors afford maximum nighttime visibility and the new location for the spotlights makes for a more aerodynamic cruiser.

To allow police officers more of an advantage when chasing scofflaws, the 4.6-liter V8 is fitted with four-valve heads, providing a stout 300 plus horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque.

The Interceptor will be sold in New York City first, with the rest of the nation to follow.

In the hope that SVT does indeed monitor this board, I would like to see...

More power, though preferrably not a V10
Full leather seats
Better Stereo

yeah SVT, More Power for the lightning But keep a V8 not a
V10 That would waste to much gas!

And why does the Lightning only come with an automatic
transmission? it should be a manual transmission

I think the seats should stay the same, better sound system,
more extras!

Leather as an option.
Expedition seats.
Beefier carry box behind drivers seat.
Color matched bed cap.
Bigger mouth on lower grille.
Wheel wells flared.
Solid rear window option.
In dash CD changer.

Relocate the trailer light hook-up to a less conspicuous place.

No antannae.

I'll leave below the hood to the brighter minds amongst us...

Lots of good ideas here,, i'll have to admit,,, when i step into my friends harley f150,,, i am very jealous of his interior and feel like i shoudn't need to be. It would be great to have some speacial interior styling which would set the L in a class by itself for looks, much like the king ranch and the harley already do. Also an L specific hood would be great, along with factory headers, and of course a 20 inch chrome option,,, currently i am running 01 style chrome 20 inch replicas and i've got more then 200% more people asking me if they are stock rims for the truck,,, asking me what kind of rim and tire they are, turning their heads,,, its great Truck definately needs to sound meaner from stock though,,, even people who use their f150's for work and off roading have loud afftermarket exhausts,,, under the hood i'll leave to the mechanics though,,,

But these are all options that i would have gladly added to my loan payment, would have been much easier on paycheck too

Stock sound system is terrible,,, but thats ok cause i'd end up upgrading very soon anyways, most factory units are underpowered even when they are supposed to be overpowered.
