Bedrug installed
#17
I have a BedRug and a Snuglid on my 02 L.. Love them and so does the stuff that gets thrown in back there.. my bud that just bought a new Screw just ordered one too.
you will love it.. also, if you didnt know, the bottom is one piece from the cab to the top of the tailgate.. this fills in the space between the tailgate and the bed.. helps keep stuff out of the bed...

I've been looking at those folding tonneaus for a while. Since Versacap doesn't make one for a flareside, I'm probably going to go with an Advance or a Fold-A-Cover.
2Cool: that looks good on your truck. It looks a LOT like an Advance cover. Are you sure it's a Fold-A-Cover? The similarities are amazing.

Thanks. I was just wonderin'. Looks good.
Oh - I've got a question: Advance says the flareside model is completely no-drill. However, on another site I've seen pictures of one on a SCrew where the thick outer rubber weatherstrip molding has to be screwed into the bedrail caps. What does the weatherstripping look like on yours?
Also - there are four locks on the thing. I assume those are the locks in the top at the corners. Do you have to undo two locks to raise the top?

No drilling was required, the hinge and lock brackets clamp on. I used only the tubular style weatherstripping, which comes with adhesive on it. The kit also included some thick foam style weatherstripping, but the flareside does not need it for a water tight fit. I just installed the round stuff in the first inside groove of the bed rail caps, and it lines up just right with the top closed, plus allows a flush fit.
Each corner has a lock, so yep, you have to unlock two to fold up either the front or rear. not a big deal overall, and the panels are very light, yet strong enough to stand on.
