Wink

I have been following this thread, and all I can say is to the sceptics is to hang on for just a little bit more. The 166 from JDM does exist and there will be a couple of JDM customers trucks running them in the next few weeks.
I know you can't wait but great things come to them who wait.
I look forward to seeing these JDM trucks to be hauling A$$ very soon.

I'm waiting for someone to bolt on a 14-71. It might need a little hood modification though.

Exclamation WHO IS TELLING THE TRUTH (YES I HID MY NAME)

I RECALL SEEING THOSE PICS OF JIMS ENGINE BAY WHEN THEY WERE FIRST POSTED ON SVTPERFORMANCE.COM WAY BACK WHEN THEY FIRST CAME AROUND INTO THE LIGHTING WORLD.
ITS A STOCK BLOWER WITH A DIFFERENT SNOUT, UPPER INTAKE FOR THE RAM-AIR AND NOTHING ELSE.
SURELY SOME OF YOU SENIOR MEMBERS REMEMBER THE PICS, LOOKS LIKE THE SAME THING TO ME.
THE PICS CAUGHT MY ATTENTION BECAUSE THEY WERE POSTING THEM TO SHOW OFF THE NEW RAM-AIR KIT THAT NEVER HAPPENED. AND THERE WERE PLENTY BACK THEN THAT COMMENTED ON THE BLOWER, AND WERE TOLD ITS STOCK BESIDES THE SNOUT, AND THE UPPER INTAKE.

SO WITH A LARGER DISPLACEMENT BLOWER, WOULDNT THE BLOWER BE LARGER ITSELF ? I WOULD THINK SO.
I DONT KNOW WHO TO BELIEVE ANYMORE. I DO KNOW THAT THESE TUNERS ARE ALL BITING OFF MORE THAN CAN CHEW.

NO FLAME INTENDED HERE, JUST LOOKING FOR FACTS LIKE THE KID THAT STARTED THIS THREAD.

The picture you guys are seeing is the 166 blower. The snout it is different, and the fill for the fluid is on the drivers side.

He put the new blower on it this fall, as far as I know he has never ran the truck on the track with that blower. I saw the 99 a few weeks ago, and even though it has the new blower it is a stock bottom end with a stock lower pulley.

BLUE02BOLT -

And what Don said, that blower snout is definately not the normal blower snout. Comparing that picture to the blower on my truck the one in the pic looks a little bit higher then the one I have also.

Close/delete...
Am I missing something ?

No one has complained about the thread and the only thing that wasnt reasonable discussion so far was SVT360's' comment that seemd to come out of the blue....

It was pretty clear to me early on that some false assumptions were made as to the details behind some of the parts here. It doesnt surprise me that small companies require a long time to work out details on a new blower. And it doesnt surprise me that they are NOT revelaing all the details of the who/what/where/ when to avoid getting thier idea ripped off... Thats business...

So if I am missing something here send me an email, other wise I am looking forward to seeing some of the beasts that are being talked about run at a FFW event this year.... If I hear of a 166 blower at Atlanta or Houston FFW I'll get pictures and post them...

Doug

I agree with Jay here... If your going to do something, do it right. Dont mess with little dinky blowers like the M112 or M166... Go for the massive 14-71!
