Damn that thing was fast.

2 times from 70mph to about 90-95mph.....and he smoked me both times.

Sounded mean (and Modded) and looked awesome. Chrome wheels and all!

Older guy about 50-55 yrs old, with his wife in the car.

Gave me the thumbs up afterwards!

Least I got spanked by a cool a$$ car!

I was in the 01L. Ihad never been smoked that way by a Z06 before, but this one didn't quite sound stock either.

Selling the Pace Car to either get a 2003 SC Cobra.....or an 2005 5.0 DOHC COBRA with the 67-68 retro style body.

Not allowed to keep THAT many toys!

NEVER take a race from 70mph man!! My friend who had a stock Rx-7 twin turbo runs 13.7 at the track and we raced from 60mph and he stayed with me and then started pulling. A low 12 second Z06 would and should SMOKE YOU from 70! (as he did) Next time, find one at a light and by the time he figures out the launch you at least have a nice slight head start. But it is hard to resist a challenge...

I would have to agree that you should never race your Lightning from 70mph. 70 mph seems to be when a lot of these high horsepower muscle cars are in their powerband. I test drove 3 Lightnings, and am currently waiting on my paperwork so I can finally get rid of my POS 2001 Cobra. I've raced 2 99 Lightnings before, and although he was able to totally rape me off the line, I was able to walk from him when we raced from 70mph. I also raced a Quicksilver Z06 from 70 too, and he was able to walk from me

You could come to Michigan and search around the basements of various Dearborn buildings until you find the clay model of it
