Is it possible to get boost dump ?
When you light the tires up from a dead stop and the your truck shifts in to second.
I ask because. When I do this after the truck shifts to 2nd, it feels like the engine power dies right out. (no pull at all)
Like it shuts down for a second and then it trys to build back up.

Assuming you have a stock truck...It is most likely going to second and in second, it does not have the power to keep spining them. At this point the truck is in second gear at 20MPH and if your truck is a 1999 or 2000, will not go bact to first. It feels like you just fell off the power band.

If your truck doesn't have a chip, you are probably feeling the factory torque reduction. This is especially noticable when you are spinning, because when the torque reduction kicks in at the shift point it usually makes the tires grap and bogs the engine down even more. It's really a pain, and I lost a few races because of it. It hasn't been a problem since I got my chip.
